The society has always been under constant threats either due to deadly weapons or  bad tongues .Many a wars have been fought due to bad tongues. Many a times peace agreements are signed due to sober, plane, polite and sophisticated tongues. The present decade saw one of the worst uses of this gift. Whether it be Anna Hazare, Kejriwal, Ajit pawar ,some prominent film industry stalwarts, members in the parliament& assemblies or members of political parties on the streets,one has witnessed very sub standard and primitive speech from all of them. Members from Media had to correct them. This plague continues at an unabated rate In every field ,every walk of life ,departments ,families in cities and villages .

The tongue (speech) is one of the rarest divine gift granted to us. The twenty first century is culmination of all evils. Among them is the worst use of tongue by the present generation of human species. Recently I travelled to meet my near and dears. This visit was spread in a week or so and their tongue during conversation with their wives, husbands brothers, children, neighbors, clients ,students, customers ,laborers  tore the heart. The bad tongue has brought in to the society an uncontrolled, excessive, venom spewing tongue causing down fall to the user, his men and material.

Sweet and sophisticated tongue brings peace and does roaring business in life ,brings dawn of reputation( the hunger of  the present generation and specially the   politician). The bad tongue produces host of enemies. It shatters the family and latent creativity if any is demolished .Mental health deteriorates in to sick minds and maladjusted individuals are in the grip of responsibility. Loss of peace and emergence of sick   generation sets in.

It is inculcated by the monarchs, kings ,Nawabs, priests ,professors, scholars ,authors ,poets ,singers, musicians, administrators , teachers and  doctors. They do offer fragrance of sweet tongues . They have had the legacy of sweet shops .They have been distributing this among us. The sweet tongue inspires. The bad tongue discourages.  The sweetest tongues were granted to King Solomon (the prophet) who was also granted the excellence in education (wisdom) according to Christian, Jews and Muslim mythology.  

The schools and colleges were preparing their disciples to inculcate this quality. There was grasp of language and its pronunciation (the sweet honey) of the language. Emphasis on good and correct pronunciation is now stored in lap tops and drives only.  Once Firaque Gorakhpuri of Allahabad University was on sick bed and one of his favorite students (commissioner) came to see him. During his talks, the commissioner pronounced Urdu words incorrectly .Firaque sahib requested him to move out of his room.

Free hand is being given to public to run schools and colleges and those have broken the backbone of languages and education among Hindus and Muslims. Everyone is making one’s tall claim and making own primitive experiments   .The quality of education is being driven to its grave yards.

It may not be out place to refer surat-u-alasra (Bani Israel) verse 53 of Holy Quran :

 “Say to My servants

That they should (only) say

Those things that  are best:

For Satan doth sow

Dissentions among them:

For Satan is to man

An awoed  enemy.” 

The community of scientist may research on the life and activities of Satan to set things right in this world.
