Recently, about seventy IIT RURKI U.P.students were rusticated from the institution on grounds of their failure to qualify the first and second semester examination .These students belonged to reservation category. Now the advocates of reservation category and those who framed the yard stick of their admission in these premier colleges must realize the consequences of the Government policy. What matters is the ability of merits to succeed in these exams. Those scoring low marks can hardly can cope with their syllabus. There is an absolute necessity to prepare grounds for promotion of their hidden &suppressed talents from the very beginning of their education . One has been hearing drop outs in medical and other professional colleges. The governments must constitute a committee to look in to this fall. If marks alone are criteria for appointments, society is bound to suffer in all areas.
