The Danda charge by Uttar Pradesh police
yesterday on the Ganpathi Pappa procession lead by Sadhus to immerse it in to
polluted Ganga appear to be the only option to stop pollution of the river so
revered and powerful to Indian masses that they get salvation by dipping in to
a river so helpless to keep itself clean .The Danda Abhiyan is the only hope to
keep he pollutants away. The Uttar Pradesh police devotion towards their duty was
for the first time witnessed on the ground which unleashed the Danda charge in
its full force.
