THE KUMBH MELA ON 10TH OF FEBRUARY 2013 AND STAMPEDE AT ALLAHABAD JUNCTION ON A OVER
BRIDGE LEADING TO PLATE FORM NUMBER 6TH
AT 1900 HOURS.
The role and performance of the reporters were the
worst.”The stampede happened due to police lathi charge. This happened due to
total mismanagement of GRPF and Indian Railways. Four hours have passed no one
has appeared on the scene of occurrence. There is no relief work initiated. Two
to three lakhs devotees have reached at
this station. Their arrival and boarding is not monitored.”
May I ask them if they had reached immediately? Doctors and
rescue officials will travel either on foot or reach with necessary aids in
their relief vans? How many minutes will they take to wade through the thickest
crowded space and suburbs in and around the scene of occurrence? Why did you
not predict that this was going to happen on this day, time and place?You kept
on relaying information received and retrieved from here says .You had no idea
of the death toll. You failed to find out the major causes of mishap till today
.You kept on harping what you concocted.
Undoubtedly the management were unparallel in the history of
kumbh melas .Yes ,the man power and resources at the hands of respective
organizations were not going to cope with this magnitude of rail-pale. One must
be pragmatic while assessing the failures and negligence.
What were the all India political party volunteers, social activists,
regional political parties and the life line of such events, RSS workers doing
on this occasion? Where have their social services gone. One can fore see occurrences
of mishaps in light of their fore sight only. If I was mela adhikari ,I could
have prepared a blue prints of the
following in brief :
1.The devotees come from four directions. The city could
have been divided in to five zones: West, East ,North ,South and central (minimum.)
Make and shift camps could have been commissioned in these zones with all
facilities of administration, coordination and monitoring .All the university
hostels, school college grounds ,their halls class rooms falling in the area of these centers allotted to the population coming from each
directions. The devotees could be allowed to have dip in the sang am and back
to their place of camps leaving them only when the crowd has eased. Railway
stations should not be converted in to mela ground. The crowds were
unmanageable.
Army should have also been deployed in this world class
festival. The local public participation was zero. The so called social
services were never seen anywhere.
You failed to find out the main reason of this mishap: It was mainly
due to arrival of Rajdhani trains on plate form number 6.Announcement by the
railways that the special mela train will now leave from plate form number one.
Streams of public from opposite sides made the life hell .A man fell and the
stampede took place .Rest is for you gossip.
