Speaking about General Thimayya Prime Minister of India said:

In 1948 General Themaiyya was not army chief. That was General Roy Butcher .At that time Themaiyya was a Divisional Commander with the rank of Major General .He first headed the Jammu&Kasmir Force and then Sri Division. Above him were the Corps Commander Lieutenant General S.M.Srinagesh and the Western Army Commander Lt .General Carriappa  Second ,though it is correct that General Themaiyya played a critical role in the Kashmir war  .He was not then and shortly thereafter by either the then prime minister or Krishna Menon .Mr.Modi is wrong in claiming Krishna Menon was  defense minister in 1948.That was sardar Baldev Singh .

Nehru government rewarded him for his good work in 1953 to head the United Nations Neutral Nations Repatriations Commission in Korea ,a prestigious appointment .After he distinguished himself he awarded in this post the Nehru government awarded him a Padmbhushan in 1954.Three  years later  , he became army chief superseding two officers .Thimaiyya  continued as an Army Officer till 19561.Prime Minister Must apologize for his grievous will full  lies to the nation before the election of Karnataka   election.  #ABP ,#NDTV24X7,#COGRESS,#BJP,#INDIA TODAY.PART II TO BE CONTINUED .
