A race ,a family or a nations live by higher values only!(TO
BE CONTINUED )
It was Sunday
.I visited Mr. N.K.Das ,a very senior teacher at his residence. On mention of
my home town Pratapgarh U.P. visit to see my father retired from Tin plate
Company of India, a sister organization of Tata Steel Company of India Tatanagar ( Jamshedpur ).
He was the only one alive in my family. Das
Saheb wished to know if I send some
financial help to him and gift him something to him on my visits in summer? ”He
has not to depend on me for my support .He is self sufficient and manages happily
from his retirement privileges, he had
besides income from agricultural
resources.” I answered.
I noticed Mr. Das had was shocked and was almost in tears .
Both of us were chatting over a cup of tea offered by his wife. Only these two
were there in his family. His two sons, both product of #Sainik school Tiliya, were
in jobs. His elder son by then was Captain in Indian Army and younger son was employed
in a Government job. Both were drawing handsome salary. The two were married .The
officer in army had similar understanding that I have had about my father and his
basic needs. The younger son posted not far Tilaiya ,will come every month to
deliver his month`s salary in the daman of his mother who will
bless him and his children from her heart
and return the same to her son expressing hearty notes that if need be she would accept and
seek his support. While doing so son
will notice tears of un spoken unending love from his mother.
After his return to his place of work and family, Madam Das
will bring this to the notice of her husband. He will silently but deeply rejoice
the amount of their blessings. What touched them was the presence of his son`s
divine affinity and concern for them despite his knowledge that his parents
were well off. Mr. Das communicated that
this kind and quality of gesture is always expected by all parents, may be with
few exceptions. He informed that the good feelings, actions and deeds of an
individual towards his elders is in constant conversation with God, the runner
of this universe. The doer gets the suitable return of his/her good deeds, feelings
and divine gestures by Him.
What prompted me to share this experience with you was
:
(1)An incident which happened recently, the pay slip of someone
for the month of July 2016 read one lakh thirty thousand above ,but the gesture
narrated above were always missing .If the gesture had been there it could been
doubly rewarding to the person here and the world here after.
(2)There is posh sector in A.S Rao Nagar Secunderabad where
half of the residents are very well off retired scientific fraternity from NFC
and ECIL Hyderabad and the parents are anxiously waiting for their wards to
return from USA to participate in their last holy rituals.
