THE FINANCIAL ASPECT OF THE BAN ON BEEF:
Where as surveys have endlessly been
undertaken by Governments to ascertain the the
numbers of Indians ,their health and life span but have not succeeded in determining the rate ,death and slaughter rates of cows in
India and abroad .What is the population of beef eaters in India? The data on goats
rearing state wise and their slaughter on day to day basis for human consumption
( mutton) is not known .What will happen to items made of fats and leathers. Can
one answer as to why such a large scale daily killing has not rendered them
extinct .What will be the dependence on hen chicken &mutton and their price after this ban?
Steven Hagen ,the
writer of a book The Budhism ,Plain and Simple writes that the understanding of cause of our
sufferings (Dukh)is the first and foremost yard stick of knowing actually our
relationship with our surroundings and living beings .This throws light on
“what religion is and how salvation can be achieved .Dukh is essentially the creation of human
beings, their transgression and mismanagement of themselves& their
surroundings. A scientist in an effort
to understand this relation visited a jungle. He saw flocks of dears &
planed continuous rearing ,the sufficiency of availability of fodders and
vegetation to feed them which continued unabated without shortage of their food
and any resultant food crisis till these
animals were made prey to the hunger drive of the remaining living beings dear
meat eating animals including a huge lizard (snake ) which will stealthily ®ularly
catch them as their favorite appetite prey. The researcher was pained to see
the dears and their kids being mercilessly killed and chewed by this huge creeping
creature. He decided to put a bell around it so to make the flock of dears run
for safety .This worked well and the dears population swelled . Soon they began dying of hunger and
experienced acute shortage of vegetation .They also began invading the nearby
areas. The management of the scientist made it imbalanced.
