CHALLENGED IN THE INDIAN #SUPREME COURT BY PETITIONER AND STAND OF INDIAN
GOVERNMENT A SENSIBLE MOVE :
This community is an offshoot of
Main Shiite in the world. This community has of now countless sub shoots ,surprised
me most .I am told that its head office is in Mumbai India .I was shocked to
know that it has its root from Islam in respect of many tenets , beliefs and
practices. The most baffling news is that this community religiously practices circumcision
of female( baby) genital parts till today and this freedom to them has made
them settle in large numbers in India .
Islam does not allow this heinous
crime to be practiced by its followers. It is unheard in Muslim world of today
including the main Shiite sect in the world. How could this barbaric practice
continued in this community since centuries is a matter great frustration and condemnation.
Few days ago one lady doctor of
the same community filed a PIL in the highest court of India and Government of
India was asked to give its opinion .It is heartening to learn that its advocate
general has taken a stand against this practice and has submitted an affidavit admitting
it a crime against children .It is also disturbing that India is a signatory on
crime against children in United nations and allowed this practice to go on
unchecked in the name religion.
